Berlin, seven years of sex work, a mentor and Studio Lux – my journey to becoming a Dominatrix

Berlin has taken me through many ups and downs, but one thing remained constant: my career as a sex worker. Whether as a stripper, masseuse, or, most recently, a dominatrix – and as shocking as this may sound to some old-fashioned minds: I wouldn’t trade my job for anything. So, let me start this first blog post with a clear statement: Sex work is work! Just like any other job. Now that we’ve got that settled..

How I Became a Dominatrix (aka: How Miss Flora Laid My Fate at My Feet)

I owe my start as a professional dominatrix to my mentor and partner, Miss Flora. She knows my love for BDSM firsthand and one daylooked at me and said, “Why aren’t you a dominatrix already? Just join me for a session. I know exactly what you’re into and what your skills are!”

What she really meant was: "I’ll train you as my maiden and then unleash you onto the world ;)"

At the time, despite my training as a wellness therapist, I was feeling dissatisfied with my job as a masseuse. I had thought about turning my personal play into a profession before, but I wasn’t sure if I had the necessary skills. Turns out, Flora had no such doubts. Our very first session together made it pleasantly clear: A decade of BDSM experience, combined with seven years in the sex industry was more than enough to set me up for success in the world of professional domination. Who would’ve thought.

From that moment, things moved fast – enlightening double sessions with Miss Flora, several "first times" (including a deep dive into the art of golden showers, more on that in a future blog post) and an application email to Studio Lux.

The response? A simple but powerful “About time.”  from the visionary owner, Lady Velvet Steel. My little dominatrix heart could have burst from happiness.

If my life were a movie, this would have been the scene where the soundtrack swells, and I walk into my new destiny – hair flowing in the wind. (Except, of course, didn’t have hair to flow. But you get the idea.)

Life at Studio Lux

Not long after, I became part of the team and from my very first session, I knew: Studio Lux embodied everything that sex work should be – modern, inclusive, transparent, and team-oriented.

For me, it was a milestone. This studio wasn’t just a workplace – it was a sanctuary. A place of warmth, respect, and creativity. A space where individuality is celebrated and where everyone is welcome, regardless of background, gender, or identity.

The guests were just as diverse and enriching as the team – every encounter taught me something new. Through workshops led by legends like Lady Velvet Steel herself and bondage expert Ron Hades, as well as through daily practice, I was able to refine my skills on physical, technical and emotional levels.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the courses at Studio Lux – whether you're a sex worker or a private BDSM enthusiast, these workshops are transformative.

Goodbye Berlin – A Bittersweet Farewell

Leaving Berlin was hard. Hard as in some of my favorite subs were left with pretty pink and blue reminders. I had to say goodbye to an incredible studio, fantastic colleagues and many sweet submissives.

But my decision to travel through Australia had been set in stone for a long time. And this is exactly why I chose this profession in the first place – the freedom. As a self-employed dominatrix, I’m not tied to a specific place or rigid working hours. My whips fit into any suitcase (well, most of them), and I thrive on change and adventure.

Berlin and Studio Lux will always hold a special place in my heart. This chapter isn’t closed – it’s simply a part of me that I carry forward.

See you when I’m back!

A New Chapter in Melbourne

Moving to Melbourne feels like the next big step: a new challenge, a fresh start. Now that I’m settling in, I bring with me all the valuable lessons, memories and friendships from Berlin. I’m excited to weave everything I’ve learned into my work here while also exploring new horizons.

To my Berlin family, Flora, Velvet, Ron, and the entire Studio Lux team: Thank you. You taught me, supported me, and inspired me. I wouldn’t be the dominatrix I am today without you.

And to everyone waiting for me in Melbourne – brace yourselves. I can’t wait to meet you.
